What is Rebuild?
Vitality 60+ is a group strength and conditioning fitness class designed and taught by a Doctor of Physical Therapy specifically for adults ages 60 and older who want to stay strong, move better, and feel their best. We know that if you don’t use it, you lose it.
Let’s work together to help you live your best life!
This class focuses on improving:
PHYSICAL vitality by working on functional movements, balance, coordination, agility, mobility, building strength, and metabolic conditioning to help you stay healthy, stay active, and mitigate injuries.
MENTAL vitality through exposure to new movements and skills performed in a safe environment, building confidence and a positive outlook.
EMOTIONAL vitality by managing stress and connecting with others in an inclusive, supportive, community-driven environment.
As we age, we lose muscle mass and bone density. Resistance training is crucial for maintaining functional independence, building resilience, and improving your quality of life as you age. Research shows that grip strength and the ability to get up and down from the floor without using your hands correlate to longevity. The good news is you CAN continue to build muscle and get stronger as you age.
The needs of an older adult differ by degree, not by kind. Every exercise is scalable for any age or fitness level. Whether you’re a total newcomer to resistance training or more of a veteran, our classes will challenge you to become better and meet you where you are.
